About Us

Resilient Crisis Solutions works across the Humanitarian - Development - Peace Nexus from a system perspective, looking at complex root causes of protracted crises, rather than symptoms of them in isolation. Our ambitious team took on the challenge of the impossible - making our own services unnecessary, striving for a resilient and peaceful world.

But in more concrete terms, ReCS helps research institutes, governments, UN departments, private sector and NGOs to ensure that local realities are central in all actions and decision-making processes in order to maximise their ability to address complex, local needs in the context of protracted crises in a sustainable and locally owned manner. We are passionate about linking humanitarian action, development cooperation and peacebuilding activities to allow for the creation of real, lasting impact. We are driven to bring local needs and the aid architecture closer together by advising on concepts, practice as well as policy.

We work on the HDP nexus, but through different angles: Food System Resilience, Environmental Peacebuilding and Disaster Risk Management, to just name a few.

We're committed to contributing to a positive change and see the unique role of each client as the starting point. Through capacity building, learning journeys and strategy development, we want to enable each actor to maximise their ability to contribute to transforming systems.

While we do practical work such as advising on evidence-based adaptive programming management or mediation processes, at the core of our values is the vision to enable the client to do these tasks themselves in the future, through an integrated capacity building approach. However, depending on the clients interests, we also conduct critical evaluations, amongst other services.

Mission

Our mission is to promote sustainable system thinking across the Humanitarian-Development-Peace nexus for impactful development programs by placing local realities at the centre of our work. We strive to bridge the gap between aid architecture and local realities to achieve true impact. We sincerely believe that addressing root causes requires a system perspective and collaboration from the international community, instead of isolated efforts.
